Are you a Naturalist?

Follow Democritus, and everything eternally immutable.
Doubt him, and does nature as dissolve as diluted soap?

Follow Democritus, and see what Lego have to do with philosophy.
Disagree with him, and why admit change is constant?

Are you a Rationalist?

Follow Socrates, and you will always stand against injustice.
Doubt him, and watch your rights fighting against you.

Follow Socrates, and you will become the wisest because you knows nothing.
Disagree with him, and the wisdom of age will humiliate you.

Follow Plato, and believe that everything tangible in nature flows.
Doubt him, and pay no attention to what is eternally true, beautiful and good.

Follow Plato, and understand the reality of senses and reason.
Disagree with him, and confuse flows from immutable.

Follow Aristotle, and admit that man has no innate ideas.
Doubt him, and you will end up thinking the philosophers’ way.

Follow Aristotle, and admit that there is a purpose behind everything in nature.
Disagree with him, and isn’t it rains so that plants can grow; oranges and grapes grow so that people can eat them?

Follow Descartes, and you cannot even trust what your senses tell you.
Doubt him, and how can you be certain that your whole life is not a dream?

Follow Descartes, and when you doubt everything; you think – and when you think, you are a thinking being.
Disagree with him, and you will end up a slave in your own sensory world.

Follow Spinoza, and free yourself from your feelings and your passions.
Doubt him and you will not find contentment or become happy.

Follow Spinoza, and you will admit that there is only one God, or one nature.
Disagree with him, and so is it not God or nature who decides everything you do?

Are you an Empiricist?

Follow Locke, and admit that there is nothing in the mind except what was first in the senses.
Doubt him, and it is not as bare and empty as a blackboard before the teacher arrives in the classroom?

Follow Locke, and admit that the subjugation of women to men was man-made.
Disagree with him, and don’t you think it can be altered?

Follow Hume, and admit that it is the impression which is the direct cause of the idea stored in the mind.
Doubt him, and you will admit that it is only your idea that is original.

Follow Hume, and admit that miracle is against the laws of nature.
Disagree with him, and you believe only what you have experiences.

Follow Hume, and admit that it is only sentiment that determines what you say and do.
Doubt him, and is it not because of your feelings, not your reason you help someone in need?

Follow Berkeley, and all you know is that we are all spirit.
Doubt him, and isn’t it true that you exist only in the mind of God?

Follow Berkeley, and you will admit that your own perception of time and space can also be merely figments of the mind.
Disagree with him, and isn’t it true that a year for you is not a year for God?
